  1. No chillies, garlic, spring onions, etc including lime is used when preparing vegetarian food and the food is rather bland.

  3. @romy hernandez Since it's vegetarian festival, nothing bad is going to happen to those turtles. It's like a locals way of earning money. Turtles signifies longetivity and good health so the locals probably caught them to sell to the people participating in the festivals so they can buy and release those turtles into the lake as an act of good deeds asking for good health… I know it sounds pretty ironic LOL

  12. malaysia has this festival too 😀 also vegeterian all the way. i guess where there are chinese people there will be such same festival. btw tge fried balloon snack looks yummy!
